A R T I S T ' S  S T A T E M E N T

I suppose I am, and always will be a student of art. My need to constantly learn more about my craft has helped me keep sight of my objective--to maintain a high level of dedication as an imaginative artist. I can say in honesty that I am accomplishing this goal as a result of my lifelong interest in the arts in general, and the visual arts, in particular. This is continuously reinforced by my association with other talented artists, and by keeping up with museum and gallery exhibitions and professional literature.

Because art is very difficult to explain in a few words or sentences, I prefer to let my creations do the talking. As the creator of the piece, I too am the art, and with each creation I expose a little bit of my inner nature to the observer. In this way my true self--my inner voice can be heard. By producing works of art, my intention is to emotionally move you, to expose you to the mystery behind my creations, and to make you feel you are experiencing something you have never seen before. Inasmuch as my art is very organic and visceral in feeling, I strive to establish a circle of energy between myself, the observer and the natural world from which I feel closely connected and often use as my source of inspiration.
